America Natural History Museum is a substantial museum but it needs like most museums now to change because the audience is more demanding of experiences, and it takes more than just exhibitions to learn and engage. So it was important when I created the new brand identity that it actually had the relationship with space and place that the museum is. Using the circle is something that it gives leverage to some modular identity, so I can actually use more current ways of creating identifiers that are able to be used in interactive environments whether that interaction is a phone or in the physical space museum. Using these modular circles to create the campaign posters for Extreme Extinction Exhibition. One of the poster series I created is using the bubble wrap to create the type and graphics. Bubble wrap represents the bad environment we’re creating right now, the color-ink represents the environment we should live in. It’s a physical experiment, the water will evaporate after a day, but the plastic stays.
